The traditional street group known as 'Loucura Suburbana' (Suburban Madness) is celebrated in Rio de Janeiro. It brings together healthcare professionals, people with mental disorders, and anyone who wants to send a message in favor of inclusion. "I love coming here because everyone is equal here, everyone has the same problem," says one participant. People of all ages joined the parade. This group was born at the Nise da Silveira Institute, a mental health center in Rio. Since 2021, the center has used leisure, sports, income generation, and memory preservation as methods to treat patients with mental health issues. Dozens of people in costumes marched through the streets of Rio de Janeiro to pay tribute to doctors and patients from a psychiatric clinic. "Art, music, in short, all this joy and this way of uniting people is fundamental for the development of life. Come here, people!"
